Sweets
Sweets not only taste good, but actually make our lives sweeter by giving comfort, improving moods, and are a wonderful way to begin something new. Yekam offers both traditional sweets which our grandmothers made and also new trending sweets… We procure high-quality ghee and other ingredients and prepare them in a hygienic environment. Yekam’s sweets assure you of excellent taste and a lingering feeling of warmth and sweetness in your mouth!
Snacks
Crunchy, melting in the mouth namkeens made with the right blend of spices, flour, and good quality butter, deep-fried in fresh refined oil. If you want them extra spicy or with less spice, we can individually prepare them to your taste. We can pack them in small quantities (minimum 250 gms) or also in bulk.
Podis/ Powders
Unlike podis sold in departmental shops, our traditional family makes our own exclusive podis, strictly following age-old recipes with the perfect blend of sun-dried and pounded spices. Sambar and rasam podis are the core ingredients for tasty sambar and rasam, the other podis make a superb, easy comfort food when mixed with steaming hot rice, with a spoon of ghee or oil added to it. A reliable standby when you have no time to cook and only have some cooked rice! The idli podi though is mixed with oil and served as an enticing side dish for dosas and idlis.
Pickles
Like the rest of India, Tamil Nadu has its own special pickles. Yekam’s pickles are prepared according to our family’s ancient recipes, the spices and oils and salt balanced in perfect proportions like our grandmothers made them. They are excellent side dishes to all kinds of rice and rotis and can also be mixed with hot rice for that extra peppy taste. Homemade pickles are also good probiotics, improving gut health. They also have an excellent shelf life.
